Getting Around

Buses, trains, airports and practical travel planning from Guardia.

Start local

Guardia and nearby connections

Bus service

Guardia is served through the wider Air Campania network. Routes, stops and service days can change, so use the official trip planner rather than relying on an old timetable screenshot.

Tickets and trip planning

The Air Campania website and app provide timetable lookup, stop search, route planning and ticket purchase. Check the exact stop, service day and last return option before leaving Guardia.

Private options

For early departures, late arrivals, luggage or several travelers, compare a pre-booked taxi, local driver, rental car or a shared transfer. Confirm the pickup point, wait time and total price in writing.

Rail travel

Train stations to use

Benevento

The main practical rail hub for long-distance and regional travel from Guardia. Check both Trenitalia and Italo because services, fares and connections differ by departure.

Telese Terme

Useful for selected regional journeys and for people already traveling through the Telese/Cerreto area. Always compare the connection from Guardia with the total journey time from Benevento.

How to buy

Regional tickets are usually flexible within their validity rules, while high-speed and long-distance fares can rise as cheaper advance inventory sells. Buy Frecce, Intercity and Italo tickets early when your date is fixed; keep enough margin for the bus or drive into the station.

Airport planning

Naples and Rome airports

Naples Capodichino

Air Campania publishes a Benevento–Naples Airport service. Check the current timetable and whether the service operates on your travel day before depending on it. From Napoli Centrale, the airport’s Alibus is another public-transport option; a taxi or pre-booked transfer can be better for early flights, delayed arrivals or heavy luggage.

Rome Fiumicino

Plan this as a longer journey. Common public-transport patterns use a train from Benevento toward Rome, then an airport rail connection from Roma Termini or another Rome station. Compare complete door-to-door time, transfer risk, luggage, late-night arrival and the cost of a private transfer before deciding.

High-speed trains

Fares are usually best when booked early. Cheap fares may be limited or less flexible.
